A story of longing that became a business
Made in Rio was born from a very personal longing. The recipe we use today is the same one my mother made for me and my sister when we were children. For a long time, I was afraid to try to replicate it — there was something about it that seemed impossible to recreate.
But when I moved to the United States, that longing grew stronger. I needed, somehow, to feel closer to home again. So I decided to try.
The result surprised me. The pizza turned out just as special as the one I grew up eating with my family. And before I knew it, I was making pizzas every single week.
Soon, friends started inviting me to make pizzas at their homes — especially for birthdays and special gatherings. What began as something personal and heartfelt naturally grew into a business.
That's how Made in Rio was born: a pizza that carries memory, warmth, and the true feeling of home in every slice.
